Nanyang JZJ engineers great machines, or perhaps "furnaces" is the more appropriate term, which can get quite hot (really hot). What makes you wonder about what happens on the inside of a furnace? So, come on a thrilling journey inside a furnace and see how it works!
Furnaces are special machines that hot things up until they are really hot. Before we dive into the hot stuff, let’s start with the basics. Heat is generated by carefully placing the materials to be heated into the furnace. Once everything is in, the door of the furnace is bolted shut. Next, add fuel, it may be gas or oil to heat the furnace and prepare it to work!
So we have a good overall understanding of how a furnace operates, now let’s look a bit closer inside. Furnaces have two parts, an upper chamber and a lower chamber. The upper chamber is for the materials that we need heated, the lower chamber burns open flames.
The materials in the upper chamber are heated so intensely that they melt into liquid. That hot liquid then streams down into the bottom chamber. The intense heat inside the lower chamber purges and transforms the materials into something that can be used to produce many different things. However, another significant process of importance as its goal is to make better materials.
And when we arrive at the inner chamber it is like stepping into the chamber of a volcano, hot, energetic, raw. The heat is intense, and we can see flames erupting out of the furnace. Photo: A few of the inner bricks of the furnace to withstand the heat at high temperatures, and a few large pipes coming out at the back.
These bricks are meant to withstand that heat and protect the outer metal shell of the furnace from melting. The larger tubes play a similar role as they help sweep away gases produced during the combustion of fuel. This allows the furnace to safely and efficiently operate with the heat required for the process.
The heat is so intense that we cannot view the flames directly, but we may see their bright reflection on the walls of the furnace. Procceeding deeper into the heart of the furnace, the heat increases, the blaze intensifies. We are also walking deep into the heart of the earth, with the warmth and energy surrounding us.
We are very proud of our chamber of a furnace products due to the fact that we are not just experienced application engineers but also design engineers who are focused on the details and operational. We have a wealth of knowledge in high-temperature testing, and are able to provide customized thermal testing equipment for specific projects.
