What should be paid attention to when using the X-ray fluorescence melting machine?

Dec 09, 2024 0

Each machine must be strictly operated according to the operating procedures during use. It is not only the maintenance of multiple machines, so that the service life can be extended, but also the safety protection of operators. What should we pay attention to before using the X-ray fluorescence melting machine?

As we all know, the X-ray fluorescence melting machine is a professional supporting equipment for the X-ray fluorescence analyzer melting method. It adopts a touch screen display control method. The interface in the machine is relatively friendly and the operation is also very simple. The whole machine has a relatively high degree of automation. It can usually be widely used in the preparation of samples in the steel, chemical, geology, metallurgy, cement, ceramics and other industries, as well as refractory material testing equipment. In addition, the X-ray fluorescence melting machine has the characteristics of fast heating, temperature control, energy saving, and stable operation. In particular, the temperature can reach 1100℃, which has a different melting effect for refractory materials. The selection and use of the crucible of the X-ray fluorescence melting machine is also a key point. When using it, it should be noted that the X-ray fluorescence melting machine cannot handle halogens and substances that can precipitate halogens in platinum vessels, such as aqua regia, bromine water and oxidant mixtures, because ferric chloride solution has a significant corrosive effect on platinum. Moreover, the platinum crucible must not come into contact with any other metal when it is heated. And all platinum utensils should be heated or burned on the oxidizing flame of an electric furnace or gas lamp, and must not come into contact with the smoky flame and the cone part in the flame to avoid the formation of brittle platinum carbide.

Safety precautions when using the X-ray fluorescence melting machine are what manufacturers and users must do. First of all, the instrument of the X-ray fluorescence melting machine must be equipped with a ground wire, which is very important. The ground wire has been connected to its shell in the instrument to ensure safety. During use, do not use the naked eye to directly observe the furnace at high temperature, because this will damage the eyes with heat and radiation, causing unnecessary harm. And before melting the sample, you must first confirm that the furnace door is closed. During the melting process (the movement of the furnace body), do not open the furnace door, and do not put your hands and other objects close to the furnace door to prevent the movement of the furnace body from causing human injury and damage to objects! When opening and closing the furnace door cover, open and close it gently to prevent the glass door from breaking. And the furnace door cover can be removed by the user according to the needs of the user. Moreover, customers who use the X-ray fluorescence fusion machine for more than 6 hours a day need to open the top cover of the instrument to work. When placing and removing samples with crucible tongs, gloves should be worn. Also, be careful when using crucible tongs, because you must prevent burns, prevent samples from falling and scalding the human body, and burn other items and destroy samples.
